Touch Tennis — Wanna Play?

I’m looking for ladies interested in playing a fun newer sport, “Touch Tennis.” We’d play at Eisenhower Rec Center on Thursdays @ 10:00. Call or text Rose @ 352-433-5244. Here are TT basics:

Equipment needed: The short tennis racquet + sponge ball is provided by the Rec Center. Here in TV, Touch Tennis is played on the platform tennis courts.

TT basic rules:

• The server only has one serve, unlike tennis where there are two.
• The serve is sent to the receiver, diagonally, and must land in the service box.
• If the serve clips the net, the ball is in play. No “lets” in TT.
• The server can serve overhand or underhand.
• Rallies continue until one player makes a mistake.
• Touch tennis is scored just like tennis. 15/0, 30/0, 40/0.
• If the score is Deuce, 40/40, the next point ends the game. It’s called “Game Point.”
