In 1853 Admiral Perry, a relative of MacArthur, opened trade with US & Japan. He  presented the 31-starred American flag from his expedition to the US Naval Academy. 90 years later, MacArthur felt that it would be a fitting artifact to display aboard the Missouri. The original flag was displayed on that occasion as the Japanese signed the surrender documents. Price $$20.00
