WANTED: Free Homemade Items For Dog Rescue Auctions

South of CR466A

Looking for people who do….woodworking, knit, sew, crochet, do stained glass, artists, or any other form of craft or art who would be interested in donating an item to the fund raising auctions for Low Rider Dachshund Rescue of Florida.  The rescue is a 501c3 nonprofit, so I item donations are tax deductible.  If you have a website where you sell your items, let us know because we put on the auction listing “Donated by” and will put a clickable link to your website.

We accept about anything.  But since it is a dog rescue things with a paw print, bone-shape, or some how dog-themed seems to do well.  We also have members who have asked for other things, so we are open to whatever (within reason).

A little about the rescue….Low RIder Dachshund Rescue of Florida rescues dachshunds, mixes, and sometimes other types of little dogs all over the state of Florida.  The rescue is made up of volunteers and fosters homes all over the state.

A couple of the dogs helped….In the attached photos are Lucy, who was paralyzed and needed expensive back surgery.  The rescue got the back surgery for her and various forms of physical therapy afterwards.  The second little dog is Midnight (from Ocala) who had to have his tail and both back legs removed due to a bad owner.  The rescue took him in and he has a wheeled cart now and is running around enjoying life.  These are just two examples of little dogs we have helped.  There are plenty more that we are helping and we have the auctions to help raise money to pay the veterinary bills, purchase medications like heartworm prevention, supplies needed like pee pads, etc.  Everyone is a volunteer.  All money goes to help the dogs.

If you have any questions, you can contact me on here.  I’m GeoGeo.  Or you can send your item donations directly to the President of the rescue at:
