Hand carved french influence chess set

This is a hand carved chess set, made in Haiti, it took a woodcarver 3 months to make it. It was purchased when the Duvaliers were in power, 1977. Currently there is only one other set of this type for sale on ebay and that one is listed as $34,000. 

Because of the humid climate and lack of kiln dyers there as some minor cracks on the table. This is truly a one of a kind set.
