Amish dinning table and chairs
South of CR466A
36″ X 48 quarter sawn oak table and chairs. Three years old
We purchased this directly from the Amish David and Lucy Yoder of Nashville, Michigan, pop. 1,588. 72 year old David had haswmill. What he doesn’t make himself he buys from other Amish. Lucy will greet you at their store”.
The table top is one inch thick, not just at the edge and it is not veneered. Quarter sawn oak is made from the largest, 100 year old plus oak. First it is cut into quarters lengthwise then it is made into lumber. This is where the beauty of the tiger stripes comes from. If you can find quarter sawn oak it varies a 40% premium.
The chairs are also Amish oak. The classic honey Windsor chairs will stand the teat of time, for generations to come. The table and chairs are flawless, we purchased this three years ago and used it as our puzzle table.
I gave my larger Amish table to my daughter, a table which she sat at in her highchair. Now her children are sitting at it. Such is the quality of real, American made Amish furniture.
You too will be able to pass this set onto your kids and Grandkids for a fraction of today’s retail.
