Make Offer! 1952 MG-TD Reproduction 1979 by Allison Daytona in Daytona Beach $18,000.00
South of CR466A
A rare find.. Built in 1979 in Daytona Beach by Allison Fiberglass Manufacturing Company, this is a 1979 custom reproduction of a 1952 MG-TD. Before the owner Ken Allison passed away in a plane crash on April 3rd, 1987, it is estimated he built 65-75 of these reproduction MD-TD’s. I purchased my car in Michigan from the original owner 22 years ago. It’s never seen snow and on my watch, it only got rained on once. It’s always been garaged and covered and of course, no rust. There is 13,700+ miles on it and I bought it with 12,362 miles. (Less than 1,500 miles driven in 22 years!)
Allison Fiberglass Manufacturing Company made 600 – 700 dune buggies before beginning production of the MG-TD’s. They made their own double thick MG fiberglass molds and used extensive authentic parts in their reproduction while consulting with the MG Car Owners Club during that time.
I brought it back to Florida where I feel it belongs and can be used effectively for the fun it was designed for. I’ve had my mechanic go through this top to bottom and everything is working as it should. It is exceptionally fun to drive and you’re not likely to see another in this nice original condition. I also have original brochures and a copy of the original title. This is a rare piece of history.
